Remember to Breathe
Amy Pearson Remember To Breathe
I hear your voice, am I dreaming?
I see your face and I reach out,
The vision dissolves then it just fades away,
Drawing alone in my own thoughts,
Calm of the storm there is silence,
Empty and lost I put a smile on each day,
And I breathe this air like I’m alive,
But without you here, my heart is frozen inside,
And I’d run to you if I knew how,
I’d fall into your arms, never let you go,
I wouldn’t have to, remember to breathe,
I put on this dress and some make-up,
But it can’t hide what I’m feelin’,
Work through the pain it’s the only way,
Once I was weak getting stronger,
Everything’s changed I’m so lonely,
Gotta get up wipe a thousand tears away,
And I breathe this air like I’m alive,
But without you here, my heart is frozen inside,
And I’d run to you if I knew how,
I’d fall into your arms, never let you go,
I wouldn’t have to, remember to breathe,
Step by step I climb this mountain of mine,
I slip back, but everybody has to fall sometimes,
Reaching out I almost touch the sky,
It’s the best I can do to try,
And I breathe this air like I’m alive,
But without you here, my heart is frozen inside,
And I’d run to you if I knew how,
I’d fall into your arms, never let you go,
I wouldn’t have to, remember to breathe
