Salvation in Stone

So they wept and they cried
And forever they flied
And they tried all they could
To pretend they're alive
And they thought of ways
They could maybe escape
But things got real tough
With the oxygen rate
So they searched all the ship
For any kind of supplies
Conviced they could use everything they could find
And then luck once she smiled
Something new came in sight
And then it shined
And they all bathed in light!!
Salvation came in the form of stone
Or al least that's what it felt like
It was green and it smelled
And it kept them in bed
And they still travelled on
Only now no one cared
And it went hand to hand
Sometimes fell on the floor
Or was it the ceiling?
Or mayby was it the door?
And their burden released
As it flooded their lungs
To bring on real use
Of the impossible force
And their fears got buried
In their deepest slumber
When you're counting your toes
Ten is the biggest number
And they all bathed in light!!
Salvation came in the form of stone
Or at least that;s what it felt like
