All I have seen
As it comes to pass
The flames of stars and their demise
In eyes more ancient than all of time
And thoughts and dreams, alike
Like all the nights before,
ended once more…
…As I wonder…
Waking,
Once more a new-born star
And the weight of all worlds and wonders
Only to fade again…
Do we rise to fall once more?
Light!
Weave on our memories
As to tell all our tales anew!
A sudden burst of emotion
What would I give, to hold you
In the severing sundown,
and to talk of dreams that cannot end;
As nothing can truly end.
Oh, for all of hope!
Only voids, the oceans
Have seen what I have seen:
Anew, the circle of light and sound
Anew, the watcher waits for its end,
Watching the time descend
Back to where we came.
…And for all,
I miss the rain, drops,
As they touched our faces
And we thought them stars…
Waking,
Once more a new-born star
And the weight of all worlds and wonders
Only to fade again…
Do we rise to fall once more?
Light!
Weave on our memories
As to tell all our tales anew!
