There once was a troll held in highest esteem
從前有一位地精受到了大家至高的敬意
For his manner was kind and his fungus did gleam
而他師傅和藹親切，而且身上的菇菌也散發著光芒

Beloved by each troll girl and evry troll lad
每個地精姑娘和小伙都愛著它
They gifted him berries and moss cake and stew
大家為他獻上新鮮的漿果，美味的苔蘚蛋糕和好喝的濃湯
He gobbled with zeal as he zealously grew
他的食量也隨著體形的增大而越來越龐大
To such a large old Flemmingrad
體態如此巨大的老弗萊明啊！
He always felt full and for that, He was Glad
他對此一直很滿意，也很開心

大家都愛看著他滾動，滾動，滾動
They loved to watch him roll, roll, roll
隨著歡笑聲，他也願意滾動，滾動...動
With laughter, he would roll, roll
但有一個冬天，人類發展蔓延得十分迅速

地精們迫不得已而滾過一個狹隘的小山路
Then one winters day, humans crept up so fast
但親愛巨大的老弗萊明
The trolls had to roll through a tight mountain pass
他嘗試著穿過，但始終會被卡住
But dear old giant Flemmingrad
人們對此感到十分恐懼，於是拔出刀劍
He tried to go through, but got stuck just a tad
於是弗萊明，他被逼進了峽灣

那老弗萊明的歌謠啊！
The people were frightened and pulled out a sword
他未能逃脫，大家為此都非常傷心
So, Flemmy, he blended right into the fjord
難過，但從未忘卻

弗萊明再也不會滾動，滾動，滾動
He never got out, and for that we are sad

我們這個傳統就來源於此

每到十二月，大家都會聚集在一起
For Flemmy Couldnt roll, roll, roll
向那地精皆知的弗萊明表示崇高的尊敬

緬懷我們曾經最好的朋友
And thats why we have this tradition
那歡樂古老的靈魂就是弗萊明

大家都掘地三尺剷除道路
Every Devember we all gatherround
把整整一手握住的草塞進它的鼻孔裡
To pay our respects to atroll so renowned
為了讓它更像那親愛的老伙計
In remembrance of the friend we had
我們會建造一尊老弗萊明的雕像
A jolly old soul we called Flemmingrad
並重塑他的形象，祝福他的靈魂

噢！渾身菇菌的地精就是那弗萊明
We all dig deep down and we uproot the past
We shove up its nostrils a fist full of grass
In resemblance of the dear old lad
We forged a mold of Flemmingrad
