Greetings from the Secretary General of the UN

As the Secretary General of the United Nations,
作為聯合國秘書長，
An organization of the 147 member states

Who represent almost all of the human inhabitants of the planet Earth.
代表了幾乎所有地球居民的組織。
I send greetings on behalf of the people of our planet.
我向你們送去全人類的問候。
We step out of our solar system into the universe seeking only peace and friendship,
我們走出太陽系的家門，進入這宇宙，只為尋找和平和友誼。
To teach if we are called upon, to be taught if we are fortunate.
抑或應邀傾囊相授，抑或有幸聆聽教誨。
We know full well that our planet and all its inhabitants are but a small part of this immense universe

That surrounds us and it is with humility and hope that we take this step.
