Interlude: Tina Taught Me

"I think part of it is accepting that it's so much beauty in being Black.
我认为作为黑人被认同是多么美妙的一件事。
And that's the thing that I guess I get emotional about, because, I've always known that.
但正因为如此，我会因为这件事而激动，因为这是我所一直在意的。
I've always been proud to be Black.
我一直以黑人而自豪
Never wanted to be nothing else.
从来没有在想去成为其他（肤色）
Loved everything about it, just...
热爱所有的（肤色），只是...
It's such beauty in Black people, and it really saddens me when we're not allow to express that pride in being Black; and that if you do then it's considered anti-white.
作为一个黑人是多么美妙的事，但却令我悲伤的是，我们却不允许去表达我们作为黑人的自尊；如果你这么做了就会被别人认为在抵抗白人。
No! You just pro-Black.
不！你只需赞同黑人。
And that's okay.
这没什么。
The two don't go together.
但却不能和歧视放在一起。
Because you celebrate Black culture does not mean that you don't like white culture; or that you putting it down.
因为你在庆祝黑人文化的时候并不代表你不喜欢白人文化；或者你不把它放在心上。
It's just taking pride
因此而洋洋得意。
What's irritating is when somebody says, you know, 'They're racist!' 'That's reverse racism!' or 'They have a Black History Month, but we don't have a White History Month!'
令我恼怒的是，总会有人说”他们是种族主义分子！“这是反种族主义！“亦或者”他们有黑人历史月，但我们却没有白人历史月！“
Well, all we've ever been taught is white history: so why are you mad at that?
但我们从小学习的都是白人的历史，所以你为什么会因此而愤怒？
Why does that makes you angry?
为什么会令你生气？
That is to suppress me and to make me not be proud."
这就是在压制我，令我不会因此（做黑人）而骄傲。
