當牧羊人在深夜守衛著羊群
All seated on the ground
每個人都席地而坐
The angel of the Lord came down
主的天使從天而降
And glory shone around

Fear not said he for mighty dread'

A Saviour who is Christ the Lord'

The heavenly babe you there shall find'

To human view displayed

All meanly wrapped in swathing bands
小嬰孩救世主被布帶裹著
And in a manger laid
馬槽被闢作小搖籃
Thus spake the seraph and forthwich
天使在上空悄聲交談
Appeared a shining through
一束穿透夜色強烈但溫暖的光
Of angels praising God who thus
天使讚美上帝
Addressed their joyful song
他們歡快的歌聲
All glory be to God on high
榮耀歸於主至高
And to the earth be peace
和平則歸於地球
Goodwill henceforth from Heaven to men
天堂的善意將流去地球
Begin and never cease
從今天開始永不停息
