Once upon a time,
很久以前，
the two greatest circus performers in the world.
有兩位世界上最優秀的馬戲團演員：
An escapologist,who could escape from any lock that was ever invented,
​一位是逃脫大師，他能解開世界上已知的任何一種鎖；
and an acrobat,who was so skilled it seemed as if she could actually fly.
一位是雜技演員，她​技藝精湛以至於好像真的能飛。
Fell in love and got married.
​他們相愛了，然後結婚了。
They performed some of the most incredible stunts together that anyone had ever seen.
他們共同表演了所有人都沒見過的、難以置信的特技表演。
And people would come for miles around,kings,queens,celebrities and astronauts.
人們不遠萬里前來觀看表演：國王，女王，名流……還有宇航員！
And not just to see their skills but also to see their love for each other,
人們為精湛的表演鼓掌，也為絕美愛情歡呼。
which was so deep that it was said that cats would purr as they passed them,
他們的愛情濃厚到連路過貓咪都會驚嘆！
and dogs would weep with joy.
連路過的狗也會喜極而泣！
They moved into a beautiful old house on the edge of town
他們搬進了小鎮邊緣一棟漂亮的老房子裡。
and in the evenings they would walk and take the air.
每當傍晚，他們會一同散步聊天。
And each night the children of the town would wait in anticipation,
每個夜晚，鎮上的孩子們滿懷期待地等待
hoping for a glimpse of the shining white scarf that the acrobat always wore.
希望能見到雜技演員經常戴著的閃亮的白圍巾。
For then they knew they had only to cry“Tricks tricks!”
那時，他們只需要喊“雜技！雜技！”
And the great performers would instantly oblige with the most spectacular show just for them.
這對偉大的表演家就立刻會為他們呈現的一場華麗的表演。
But although they loved each other,
但是，即使他們深愛著彼此
Although they were famous and everyone loves them,
即使他們擁有盛名並受所有人喜愛
They were sad.
他們也不開心

“We have everything the would has to offer”says the wife
“我們已經有了世界上的所有，”妻子說。

“but we do not have the one thing in the would we want most”

“we do not have child”
我們沒有孩子。”

“Patience my love.”the husband replied,
“耐心點，親愛的。”丈夫回道。
“time is on our side,even times loves us.”
“我們還有時間。時間也會愛我們。”
Aw Matilda...
啊，瑪蒂爾達… …
But time is the one thing no-one is master of.
但是時間不會受任何人的掌控。
And as time passed they grew quite old and still they have no child.
時間流逝，他們已經很老了，卻還是沒有孩子。
At night they listened to the silence of their big empty house
晚上，他們聆聽著空蕩蕩的大房間的寂靜
and they would imagine how beautiful it could be
他們會想像要是有聲音改多美妙啊
if it is filled with a sounds of a child playing.
要是充滿著孩子玩耍的聲音……

Their sadness overwhelmed them and drew them on to ever more dangerous feats.
悲傷讓他們不知所措，並且促使著他們進行更危險的活動。
As they work became the only place they could escape the inescapable tragedy of their lives!
工作成為他們唯一能忘掉悲慘生活的的方式。
And so it was they decided to perform the most dangerous feat ever known to man!

said the husband,announcing the event to the world's press,
丈夫說，他向全世界的媒體宣布。
who had gathered to listen with bated breath.
那些人屏住呼吸小心地聽。
“The Burning Woman Hurling Through the Air,
“把頭髮捆著炸藥的女人點燃……
with Dynamite in Her Hair,
同時投向空中……
over Sharp and Spiky Objects,
並且越過刀海……
Caught by the Man Locked in a Cage,
被鎖在籠子裡的男人接住！
and it is the most dangerous feat,ever known to man!”
這將會是史無前例的……最危險的活動！”
“It is our destiny”said the wife ,smiling sadly and slipping her hand into his.
“這是我們的命運。”妻子說，她悲傷地笑著，把自己的手交給丈夫。
“it is where the loneliness of life has led us.”
“這是生活的孤獨感帶我們所做的選擇。”
